Old soul, quiet comfort

"A traditional Pelion house, carefully renovated for modern living — we kept what mattered and added every comfort guests could need."

Pelion Muse is a sensitively renovated traditional stone house that sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms, each with its own character. Wide-plank pine floors, ornate hand-carved wooden doors, and antique furnishings give the house its depth. Behind the old walls, the house has been fully modernised — air-conditioning, fast WiFi, heated bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and every amenity you would expect of a contemporary home. The balance of old and new is deliberate, and every space has been thought through so that nothing is missing from your stay.

Double Bed

The Sea Room

The largest of the three bedrooms, bathed in morning light from floor-to-ceiling windows that look over the olive groves towards the sea. A globe paper pendant casts warm evening light over crisp white linen and original wood floors — the antique bones of the house, refreshed for modern comfort.

An antique writing desk and chair sit in the corner. A vintage travel trunk rests at the foot of the bed. These are not decorations — they belong to the house. Behind them, quiet air-conditioning, blackout curtains and a fully renovated en-suite bathroom make sure nothing is missing.

  • Renovated en-suite bathroom with vessel sink, rainfall shower & heated towel rail
  • Silent air-conditioning & fast WiFi

Double Bed

The Train Station Room

The quietest room in the house, with lace-curtained windows that look out towards the trees. An iron-frame bed dressed in white linen, antique side tables, and a framed print above the headboard — simple, considered, calm. Every original detail has been preserved while the room itself has been gently modernised.

Fresh wildflowers are placed in a small vase on the bedside table for each arrival. A detail that costs little but says everything. Silent air-conditioning, fast WiFi and a renovated en-suite bathroom complete the room.

Twin Beds

The Fireplace Room

The most characterful room in the house — twin beds flanking a striking terracotta-red fireplace, its mantelpiece adorned with hand-crafted poppy sculptures. The fireplace is the original centrepiece of the room, preserved and polished during the renovation and visible the moment you open the door.

A tall antique armoire stands opposite, and the original carved wooden door connects the room to the hallway with its colourful kilim runner. High ceilings, deep sills, and warm lamplight make this a room that invites stillness — with quiet air-conditioning, fast WiFi and a fully renovated en-suite bathroom taking care of the rest.

The Living Room

Framed by a dramatic stone archway that opens through to the kitchen — one of the house's most beloved architectural moments, preserved as it was and polished during the renovation. Wide pine floors, lace curtains, and a long grey sofa invite slow mornings and easy evenings.

Behind the traditional character, the room is fully equipped for modern living: silent air-conditioning, fast WiFi, a flat-screen smart TV and comfortable seating for six. It is the heart of the house, and it has everything you need.

The Stone Terrace & Garden

From the kitchen, step out onto the covered stone terrace with its wrought-iron railings, bistro table and long dining table for six. On a clear day, the Pagasetic Gulf is visible through the olive branches — on any day, it is the best seat in the house.

Beyond the terrace, the garden opens up with olive trees, shaded corners and a BBQ for long summer evenings. The outdoor space has been landscaped as part of the renovation, so every corner is both traditional in feel and fully set up for modern al-fresco living.
